What makes your bars different?
We pride ourselves on keeping things simple without compromising on taste or quality. Our snack bars contain 5 ingredients or less, whilst our high protein bars contain 8 ingredients or less.
We do not include any ingredients you wouldn’t have in your kitchen cupboard at home or be able to easily pick up on a supermarket shelf. We don’t add any preservatives, additives or refined sugars to our bars. They are simply cold-pressed and handmade in a Great British kitchen. Oh, and of course they taste great too!
What is the difference between Real Food bars and Protein bars?
One thing that isn’t different about them is that they all taste delicious!
Our protein bars are specifically designed to be an ideal companion to fuel your training, whether that’s hitting the gym, pushing the pedals or pounding the pavement.
Our Real Food bar range can also be enjoyed during a workout, or just as a tasty everyday healthy snack. They provide a great source of slow release energy, but unlike our protein bars, do not include added hemp protein.
Where are your bars made?
All of our bars are made in the sunny UK!
Where can I find nutritional information about your products?
The nutritional information is displayed on our website on each product page in our shop. Simply click on the product that you want more information on its nutritional content.
Are your products suitable for vegans?
All of our products – snack bars and high protein bars – are suitable for a vegan diet and we are registered by The Vegan Society.
Unlike most protein bars we use a hemp protein in ours. This protein offers a complete amino acid profile, containing essential fatty acids which are easily digestible by the body.
Hemp protein is also free from dairy and soy.
Are your products dairy free?
Yes, all of our products are dairy and lactose-free.
Are your products gluten free?
Our range of snack bars (30g and 45g) are gluten-free.
Our protein bars are produced in a factory that handles gluten. The bars are produced on a separate line which is thoroughly cleaned after each production run. However, because the factory handles gluten elsewhere there is a very low risk of contamination on the line, so as a consequence we cannot claim these bars to be gluten-free on the packaging.
Are your ingredients non-GMO?
Yes, our entire range is non-GMO.
Are your products Halal?
Yes. All of our products have been certified by the Halal Food Authority.
Do your products contain sulphur dioxide?
None of our products contain sulphur dioxide.
What allergens are in your ingredients?
All allergens are listed in bold on our packaging.
None of our products contain dairy, gluten, colourings, refined sugars, soy, vegetable oils, eggs or peanuts.
Are your ingredients Fair Trade or organic?
Currently, only some of our ingredients are Fair Trade. Our highest priority is ingredient quality, so in some cases, we have made the decision to prioritise this over fair trade or organic status. However, we are continuously working to source the highest quality ingredients that are Fair Trade and organic.
Do you use palm oil in your products?
No, we do not.
What happens if I find a nut shell?
Whilst we take every precaution to ensure that our bars are free from shells or fruit pits, in rare circumstances it is possible you might find a small fragment.
If this happens please email hello@primalpantry.com with a picture of the shell piece you’ve found and the best before date of the bar. Please also keep the remainder of the product and the wrapper, so that you can post this to us to investigate further.
What type of nuts do you use?
All of our bars – with the exception of our range of multipacks – contain nuts. To see which nuts are in each bar visit the Shop section.
Whilst our multipack range of bars are made with a nut-free recipe, they are produced in a facility that handles nuts and peanuts. As a consequence, there is a very low risk of cross-contamination.
Should I refrigerate the bars?
Our bars do not need to be refrigerated. They are best stored in a cool dark place.
Are your bars keto friendly?
Our bars aren’t made specifically for the Keto diet. However, depending on your individual daily carbohydrate requirement, they can be incorporated into the diet. The 45g Primal Pantry range has circa 16-20g of carbohydrate per bar. Some customers have our Coconut & Macadamia bar (16g of carbs and high in healthy fats) as part of a Keto diet.
